MK Almog Cohen of Otzma Yehudit is boycotting tonight (Thursday) a conference of the party with the participation of the chairman, Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir, held in Be'er Sheva.

The invitation to the event states that the event will be attended by ministers and members of the Knesset, during which an "announcement of the running of Otzma Yehudit for the local authorities" is expected.

The one who was absent from the event is MK Cohen, a resident of the city who has long been at loggerheads with Ben Gabvir. Cohen chose to participate tonight in the right-wing demonstration against the legal reform being held in Tel Aviv, and was absent from the party event. Last week he criticized the agreements of his party chairman Ben Gabvir with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, according to which the reform legislation will be postponed until the next session of the Knesset in about a month.

In a conversation with an activist on his behalf on WhatsApp, he wrote about them, "shame."

In February, it was announced that Ben Gabir threatened in an internal group of the party that Cohen would "fly away", following a tweet that Cohen wrote on Twitter against the government's policy of not evicting Khan al-Ahmar.

Since then, Ben Gvir does not share Cohen in decisions within the party and the new MK has criticized him on several occasions.
