This Tuesday, the thirteenth councilor of the Veracruz City Council, Belem Palmeros Exsome, took the microphone during the local council session to announce that her colleagues had decided not to meet, in protest against the complaints against councilor Sebastián Cano.
In the absence of a quorum, the session was suspended.
Sebastián Cano already accumulates at least 16 complaints for sexual assault and violence.
Among them there are three formal complaints before the State Attorney General's Office (FGE) of Veracruz.
Cano is the sixth councilor of the Port of Veracruz on behalf of the Morena party, and is also in charge of the Carnival commissions, as well as that of Children and Family.
Until now, the public servant has denied the accusations against him.
