Yair Netanyahu, the son of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, attacked the court this evening (Thursday), which ruled earlier today that he must compensate former Knesset member Stav Shapir tens of thousands of shekels, after he lost the defamation suit against her.

"The verdict is another layer as part of the legal persecution against me and my family members," he claimed, "since I was 5 years old I have been facing a system of propaganda and character assassination against me and my family members, the likes of which no one in the State of Israel has known."

As part of the defamation lawsuit, Netanyahu petitioned for "special" compensation in the amount of NIS 50,000, due to "his work for entire communities in Israel, as well as being the son of the prime minister."

Netanyahu claimed that the court "introduced political considerations" into its decision.

"It is unthinkable that defamatory remarks against me on the part of Shapir will be accepted with understanding and bewilderment, and on the other hand to accuse me of Bla's words. The judge wrote that Shapir did not slander when she wrote about me as 'troubling', based on a removal order against me issued a few years ago by the far-left activist Yishai Hadas. He He did this following the fact that I published his address and called for a protest outside his house, after years of him protesting under my house and threatening my life. For these threats to me, an indictment for threats was filed against him."

He continued and claimed, "Another slander of the judge against me is that I am a 'racist', based on a sentence I wrote on Twitter for Stav Shapir - 'marry an Arab' as a humorous response to her slander against me," in his words.

"The judge writes as if this is my personality and my essence as a person. This is absurd and completely contradicts the defamation laws in Israel by 180 degrees. Either everyone is equal before the law or not. Or more precisely, there is no law."

Yair Netanyahu said that he intends to file a complaint with the Ombudsman against the judges in his trial and file an appeal on the matter.

"Defamatory things that were received with understanding and bewilderment."

This morning, the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court announced that Yair Netanyahu lost the defamation suit filed against him by former Knesset member Stav Shapir.

Netanyahu was ordered to pay Shafir compensation in the amount of NIS 40,000 and an additional NIS 20,000 for court costs.

In addition, Netanyahu's counterclaim was rejected and he was also ordered to pay NIS 10,000.

After criticizing his father, he wrote, among other things: "Are you sure you want to talk about morality, in light of the failed project you tried to set up with a pedophile lover and a regular visitor to Epstein's pedophile island? Ugly inside and out. You will already find a permanent Arab husband who won't dump you. Go to which one Kfar, convert to Islam and leave us alone."

Netanyahu sued Shapir back after she responded and called him a "liar, evil, racist and harasser".
