Roman Zdorov commented today (Thursday) for the first time on his acquittal of Tair Rada's murder after 16 years and said that "the truth has prevailed, I first of all want to return home to the children".
Zadorov's lawyer, Yarom Halevi, said after the acquittal that "This is a big day. For Roman, his two sons, his wife and family, and the public who believed in his innocence. There was an attempt to sway the trial against Roman. I will continue to believe in the evidence and I believe in the courts."
"I hope the prosecution will not appeal. It is difficult for me to understand the honorable judge who convicted him," he added.
