Neighbors of the Zdorov family expressed joy today (Thursday) at Roman Zdorov's acquittal of the murder of the girl Tair Rada about 16 years ago.

"I'm glad the truth came out, it's a shame it came out 16 years too late," said one of the city's residents.

"The problem is in the judicial system, and not the reform we are talking about. Reasonable doubt arose already in the first stage. They dubbed him and he would also admit to the crucifixion of Jesus. This is not the form of the trial we want to know."

Another neighbor said: "It is not possible that 16 are abusing a human being for no wrong done to him."

Another neighbor said that she knows the family, and even plans to make a cake in honor of the acquittal.

"Most residents in Katsrin know the family and are happy that he was released. I am happy for them," she said.

This morning the district court in Nazareth acquitted Zadorov on grounds of doubt.

The judges made the decision, by a majority of two to one, as part of Zadorov's retrial.

"The accused is entitled to all the charges," said the head of the panel of judges Asher Kola.

A commotion broke out in the hall, and Zadorov burst into tears.

"Thanks to everyone, the truth has prevailed, I just want to go home," Zadorov said as he left the court.

His lawyer Yarom Halevi added: "This is a big day. There was an attempt to sway the trial."

Judge Kola ruled that Zadorov's confession to the murder was a false confession.

"The findings at the scene did not match the defendant's confession. This is not a sadist, a sophisticated manipulator subject to uncontrollable fits of rage capable of murdering a little girl," said the judge.

"I was impressed by the defendant as a polite, quiet, obedient and submissive person. A version according to which Tair is the one who started cursing against Russians, is not plausible in my view. We have not heard anything that indicates this behavior."

The judge stated that the issue of the hair found at the scene of the murder, and that it may belong to Adir Habani, nicknamed AH, should have been thoroughly investigated. Kola also addressed the claims that Ola Kravchenko was the murderer, saying: "There were real flaws in both testimonies.

Contradictions and doubts that must be explained.

Despite the flaws, I found many reinforcements to check the matter of mitochondrial DNA." At the end of his words, the judge turned to Ilana Rada, Tair's mother. We tried to solve the mystery - Tair, who was taken in her mother's blood, took her secret to the grave."
