The spokesman for the National Security Council of the White House, John Kirby, claimed yesterday (Thursday) that the United States has "new information" that Russia is transferring food to North Korea, which in return is transferring weapons for its war in Ukraine.

This, following a severe shortage of weapons and food in the countries.

According to Kirby, any arms deal concluded between North Korea and Russia is expected to be a violation of UN Security Council resolutions. It should be noted that this is not the first time that the US has accused North Korea of supplying weapons to the Russian army in Ukraine and Russia's mercenaries.

Similar to past cases, this time too, Pyongyang denied the claims and claimed they were false.

In exchange for the Russian food shipments that arrived in North Korea, according to the report, North Korea also received money, commercial planes, goods and raw materials.

The heavy sanctions and the continuation of the intense fighting in Ukraine forced Russia to look for alternatives to advanced weapons in other countries in the world, one of which is North Korea.

As for the war in Eastern Europe, tonight Russia suffered another blow: the Turkish parliament approved the bill that would allow Finland to join the NATO alliance, and so in fact - Finland will become the 31st member of the organization. The Turkish approval comes almost a year after Finnish President Sauli Niinista announced the intentions

of his country to join NATO.

The Turkish parliament is the last of the 30 countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization to approve Finland's membership in it, after earlier this week, the Hungarian parliament also approved a similar bill.
