Storm instead of holiday weather: shortly before returning from Mallorca, the passengers of a Lufthansa plane experience a moment of shock.
Frankfurt – Everything actually went smoothly within the two-hour flight time.
Lufthansa flight LH1531 took off punctually on Friday (31 March) at 12.40 p.m. from Palma de Mallorca and touched down at Frankfurt Airport at 2.34 p.m. as planned.
But instead of holiday weather like on the Balearic Islands, the passengers expected storms over the Rhine-Main area.
Apparently there was a brief moment of shock there.
Shortly before landing, a passenger reported to the aviation portal
Aviation Herald
that lightning apparently struck the Airbus A321-271NX.
A little later, however, the Lufthansa plane landed safely on the runway at Frankfurt Airport.

Frankfurt Airport: Lufthansa plane remains on the ground after being struck by lightning
While most passengers may have noticed the lightning strike at most through a briefly flickering cabin light in the Lufthansa Airbus, the machine did not go any further for the time being.
A day after landing, the plane was still on the ground in Frankfurt, as
Aviation Herald
reports.
A lightning strike in mid-air is not uncommon for an airplane.
As reported by the Federal Aviation Authority, the bandwidth for passengers on board is quite large.
Sometimes the people on the plane don't notice anything, sometimes individual instruments can fail and the crew are forced to make a stopover.

Meanwhile, turbulence, which can cause significant damage when flying through a thunderstorm, is much more unpleasant for passengers.
This is what happened recently to the passengers on a Lufthansa flight from the United States to Frankfurt.
Afterwards, passengers described the dramatic scenes on board the flight to Frankfurt Airport.
