Activist hackers from Ukraine tricked a group of wives of Russian military personnel into posing in racy photos - also revealing the identities of their husbands - allegedly responsible for bombing a Mariupol theater turned shelter last month, killing hundreds of civilians.

This virtual hoax operation exposed 12 fighter pilots from elite units to the risk of being charged with war crimes - both in connection with what is known in Ukraine as the "theater massacre" and hundreds of other airstrikes on Ukrainian homes and businesses, the Kyiv Post reported.

This operation was spearheaded by Cyber Resistance, a Ukrainian hacker group engaged in guerrilla warfare, and InformNapalm, a volunteer journalism organization in Ukraine that they say investigates Russian war crimes.

She "swallowed" the bait, and used her position as a colonel's wife to convince 11 other pilot wives to pose for photos wearing their husbands' military uniforms at the airport - revealing their identities while also providing a close-up look at the fighter jets in which they Users.
