The municipality of Pliening is currently building 16 affordable rental apartments in two zero-energy houses in the Landsham-Süd development area.
The topping-out ceremony has now taken place and completion is scheduled for the end of the year.
Landsham – 13 months after the ground-breaking ceremony, Monday, April 3, 2023 was the topping-out ceremony for the Pliening community’s social housing project in the Landsham-Süd development area.
The two apartment buildings, each with eight apartments, should be completed by the end of the year, said Mayor Roland Frick and architect Udo Hübschmann yesterday.
Frick called the project "a milestone in our community".
Because, after the old school in Gelting (the conversion of which should be completed in the summer), it offers more affordable living space.
Thanks to state subsidies, the rents can be offered below the market price.
The exact amount has not yet been determined.
The new buildings were built for the people in the community who urgently need the living space, because the rents here in the area are higher than anywhere else

The architect Hübschmann, who was commissioned by the municipality, explained that there will be two- and three-room apartments and one four-room apartment in each house.
Both houses are designed as zero-energy houses, with their own groundwater heat pump and photovoltaic system.
According to the architect, each of the houses has a total of around 550 square meters of living space.

"Social housing is important as a location factor," said Mayor Roland Frick at the topping-out ceremony.
The apartments are intended, for example, for employees of the municipal administration, for building yard employees or for staff from day-care centers.
According to Frick, the precise catalog of criteria for applications will be completed and published in the next two or three months.

In his speech, he recalled the history of the housing project and named March 2019, when the municipal council had made the final decision, and March 16, 2020, when the Ebersberg district office had issued the building permit.
Pliening: 30 percent of the construction costs are subsidized by the state
30 percent of the costs for the two new buildings are subsidized by the state, said Mayor Roland Frick, so that the municipality, as the owner of the land and houses, can demand lower rents.
It is no longer a secret that there is a great need for affordable housing in and around Munich.
Master carpenter Georg Lippacher said in his topping-out speech: "The new buildings will be built for the people in the community who urgently need the living space, because the rents here in the area are higher than almost anywhere else."
