Compared to the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Welfare has stability and a very involved minister.
Sometimes it seems that Minister Yaakov Margi gets down to too small details when he is busy for a long time with public inquiries or specific events, instead of outlining a policy.
On the other hand, Margie is a pleasant person who knows how to work with a wide variety of people and reach broad agreements.
Even in this office, Deri's spirit prevails and exists.
Already in the first weeks, the chairman of Shas asked Minister Margi to fire the then CEO of the ministry Sigal Moran. Moran sent a letter to the ministry's employees in which she claimed that the minister had explicitly told her that Deri did not want her to continue in her position, and this despite the fact that she had no replacement. Margi decided to appoint The Deputy Director of Human Capital Management of the Ministry of Welfare - Yanon Aharoni, to Acting Director General of the Ministry until a permanent Director General is found.
