The Spanish actress Ana Obregón, 68, confirmed that the girl born by surrogate mother is her granddaughter and daughter of Aless Lequio, her son who died in 2020.

Last week, Ana Obregón announced from Miami the birth of her daughter by surrogacy.

At 68 years old, the Spanish actress received numerous criticisms in her country, where the practice is not allowed.

Now, the controversy broke out again: Ella Obregón confirmed that she is actually a mother and a grandmother simultaneously.

The little girl was fertilized with the sperm of Obregón's son, who died in 2020.

Ana introduced Ana Sandra, daughter of her late son Aless, through an exclusive interview for ¡Hola! magazine.

In this, in addition to giving the full name of the young woman (Ana Sandra Lequio Obregón), she confirms that the little girl was born on March 20 in a Miami hospital three weeks earlier than she expected.

In the process, he leaves several very particular statements, confirming the girl's father.

According to an account for the magazine,

"this girl is not my daughter, but my granddaughter. She is the daughter of Aless and when she grows up I will tell her that her father was a hero

, so she knows who he is and how proud she has to be of him," this being a highly commented topic.

Spanish magazine cover.

Thus, he does not consider the girl to be his daughter, but his granddaughter.

He also talks about the surrogacy process and how he felt during this time.

He explains that this was

"Aless's last wish",

because he wanted to "bring his son into the world".

According to what he says, he explained this to his parents a week before his death.

As Obregón herself recounts, these were one of his last wills, although they were not carried out before a notary public.

Despite this, he explains that there is a legal document and that it exists.

Regarding the reasons why there was still her son's sperm, this being the one used in the surrogacy, Ana comments the following: "When my son was diagnosed with cancer and was going to start chemotherapy treatment, the doctors told

him They recommended that he save samples of his sperm,

in case the drugs affected him in the future, to make sure he could have children. These samples were kept in New York," he told the Spanish magazine.

The actress also spoke about the commotion caused and described the debate as

"absurd".

“This assisted reproduction technique has been done for many years and is legal in many countries of the world (not in Spain).

Many couples who cannot have children or homosexual couples or for whatever reasons use this technique.

But what scandal is this, now?

“I go to the pediatrician and, seeing how old I am, they ask me: 'Is she an adopted daughter?

Is it a surrogacy?

Well phenomenal.

Blessings'.

Because here people are open, but in Spain, my goodness, we are in the last century”.

"It has been very difficult.

The pregnancy did not occur on the first attempt, far from it;

They have been several times and every time I didn't go out I was terribly upset and started over.

It's been a battle, a long road, but it's what has kept me alive.

It's just that if it weren't for this, I wouldn't be here anymore."

Since the death of her son, Ana Obregón lived in mourning, as she herself revealed in an interview that he gave to ICON magazine just a couple of weeks before Ana Sandra's arrival in the world.
