”, explains Éric Ciotti, by registering the project in the same dynamic as that of the “
States General of the right
» which he wanted to program at the beginning of June.
Remembrance of the RPR
On March 26, in the columns of Le
Figaro
, he unveiled the initiative, explaining that the new medium was inspired by a review of the same name created under the aegis of the RPR by Jean de Boishue who was the former Secretary of State for Higher Education in the Juppé 1 government, under Jacques Chirac.
At the time, the movement was chaired by Philippe Séguin and one of the newspaper's ambitions was to widen the circle of the party by opening up to intellectuals from diverse backgrounds.

Beyond the new media, the mayor of Antibes Jean Leonetti has also been commissioned to set up a new think tank responsible for feeding Les Républicains, while remaining positioned outside the movement.
With their online questionnaire, which had already collected more than 7,000 responses on Tuesday morning, Les Républicains seek to identify the "
expectations
" and "
desires
" of their activists.

We want to give you the floor so that, tomorrow, without taboos or sectarianism, our media will be the voice of those we do not hear
", explains President Ciotti to the 90,000 members of the movement, inviting them to answer a series of questions.
Participants are invited to indicate, for example, their four priority themes out of a list of twelve subjects (State authority, demographic challenges, school, economy, etc.).
They can also specify which is the main means of information on which they rely to follow political news (regional or national print media, magazines, social networks, etc.).
They are also asked what their favorite places of culture are (cinema, concert, exhibition, museum, etc.), what instant messaging services they use (Discord, Facebook Messenger, Signal, Telegram, Whatsapp, etc.) or whether they regularly watch videos on Youtube.

Kingpin of the project, Bartolomé Lenoir recalls that the media, which could come out of the ground before the end of April, corresponds to a campaign commitment by Éric Ciotti.

The Republicans' web meeting will be based on "

" content and a digital form in which members can seize to reflect on the future of their political family and get "
a certain idea
" of its ambitions.
