A crime and the attack on Berni hit Kicillof's re-election plan

2023-04-05T02:25:31.221Z

La Matanza constitutes, within the conurbano, the authentic Kirchnerist fortress. Cristina placed many of her laborers there for years.

In the recent tragic and violent hours in La Matanza there was a very striking absence.

It was that of Axel Kicillof.

Nobody should have pretended that the governor of Buenos Aires went to the scene of the crime of the bus driver, Daniel Barrientos.

It turned out ostensibly, on the other hand, that

his public dispensation tried to be masked at all levels by his Security Minister, Sergio Berni.

The official was brutally attacked by protesters linked to the UTA (Union Tranviarios Automotor), fed up with the lack of responses in the face of

incessant insecurity.

After going to the hospital to treat his injuries, he mutated into a gigantic shield to

protect Kicillof.

He spared no care.

He first highlighted the solidarity gesture of Cristina Fernández, after the attack.

Then he attacked Alberto and Aníbal Fernández, according to him, for the delay in sending gendarmes to Buenos Aires.

Immediately he questioned Horacio Rodríguez Larreta for the actions of the City Police, which rescued him from the melee.

"They wanted to hold me captive,"

he invented.

The corollary was the doubts that he sowed about the origin of the murder.

"They could have thrown a dead man at us,"

he denounced.

As if there had been some plan, a premeditation.

Berni's overexposure could be denoting two things.

The

weakness or non-existence

in Buenos Aires of a format aimed at combating crime.

Also, Kicillof's excessively permeable side every time insecurity in the province occupies the line of fire

.

In the last 48 hours he seemed oblivious to the problem and the tragedy.

Simply because he would lack basic notions about what to do in those circumstances.

It has always been an uncomfortable dilemma for Kirchnerism.

It happens that reality would collide with the discourse that proclaims the presence of the State as a solution to everything.

In that case, it would consist of planning around police and security forces.

Also untie many toxic ties that exist with Justice.

Pragmatism and action instead of speech.

It happens the same way to the vice president.

She tends to say generalities about insecurity.

Days spent during the summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), beset by the episodes of the drug traffickers in Rosario, she appealed to a conceptual firulete.

He maintained that as long as there is no progress on the large financial centers for drug money laundering, there will be no fundamental solution to the problem.

Difficult to deny it.

But there is a huge parenthesis that demands determinations.

Fight gangs that recruit people (children and women) that state policies leave out in the open.

There is no theorizing there.

Just bury yourself in the mud.

Mating with police officers, gendarmes, prefects and State Intelligence forced to collect reliable information.

Complicated for Cristina.

Also for Kicillof.

The bus driver tragedy and its shock wave came at a

politically sensitive time.

Kirchnerism, dizzy by the mismanagement of the Government and the disappearance of Mauricio Macri from the electoral theater, tries to define some electoral strategy.

The only point defined for now is the uncompromising political defense of Buenos Aires.

With Kicillof's reelection project.

With the possibility – the only one not closed yet – that the vice president strengthens such an offer with her candidacy for senator for Buenos Aires.

The violence in La Matanza cast doubt on that plan.

Not only because of the Barrientos crime.

Also because of a savage rebellion that, on different scales and for different reasons, has been repeated in Buenos Aires.

A provocation played against Berni.

He discovered the true fears that plague Kirchnerism in the province.

As he politicized his speech, after the attack he suffered, the Minister of Security wanted to include alleged PRO militants among the attackers.

He knows very well that they were affiliated with or close to the UTA led by the Peronist Roberto Fernández.

In other words, their own troops that also seem overwhelmed by insecurity.

To escalate the fight, perhaps scripted by Cristina, the military doctor charged Rodríguez Larreta and his new Security Minister, Eugenio Burzaco.

He mentioned an alleged "ambush" against him.

He considered himself offended that he had not received a friendly call from his City colleague.

The Buenos Aires chief questioned the beating of Berni.

Patricia Bullrich, the other PRO candidate, too.

Berni dealt only with the mayor.

The fights are not limited to the ruling party against the opposition.

The tragedy of the bus driver occurred in a district that is incubating an intense debate in the Frente de Todos.

It takes place between the current mayor, Fernando Espinoza, and the head of the Evita Movement, Emilio Pérsico.

It is useful to refresh it.

La Matanza constitutes, within the conurbano, the authentic Kirchnerist fortress.

Cristina placed many of her laborers there for years.

The mayor has always been faithful.

His side for years was Verónica Magario.

Current lieutenant governor of Kicillof.

El Evita is,

with much less enthusiasm than three years ago,

the only social organization that follows close to Alberto Fernández.

Pérsico raises the succession of Espinoza with the figure of his wife, Patricia Cubría.

Current provincial deputy for Buenos Aires.

She intends that they become internal in August.

Just in case, she took precautions.

He founded the party "La Patria de los Comunes" in the territory.

Warning in case Kirchnerism refuses to compete.

Pérsico does not believe that Kicillof is a great governor.

He though he supports his re-election.

The provincial president cannot solve anything about La Matanza because he still does not have any clear indication of Cristina.

The governor ponders another game in the dispute that Kirchnerism maintains with Alberto.

He has said that the President must give up his re-election illusion.

He would be thinking of planting his postulant in the PASO to dispute the leadership of the City.

Alberto has two notes: the deputy Leandro Santoro, truly a lone wolf, and the Minister of Tourism, Matías Lammens.

Kirchnerism has known for years that the Buenos Aires territory is elusive.

Daniel Filmus is, in this sense, the one who accumulates the most experience.

Kicillof is trying to get Augusto Costa excited to take the plunge.

His Minister of Production in Buenos Aires.

A young man, with little tendency to argue, he was Cristina's Secretary of Internal Commerce between 2013-15.

Such martingales emerge while Berni and Aníbal Fernández discuss the gendarmes who are or are not in Buenos Aires.

Just three weeks ago the governor admitted knowing absolutely nothing about the subject.
