It's surprising, because our President of the Republic is taking up old categories that have been lying around in France for two hundred years.

In the political speeches of the 19th century (Guizot, Thiers, etc.), the words "rebels", "criminals", "brigands", are commonly associated with the word "crowd".

From the point of view of authority, yesterday as today, the "people" becomes "crowd" each time it passes over to the side of "irrational and savage" violence.

But what “people” are we talking about?

The revolution was made with words and principles.

“Freedom”, “equality”, “people”.
