Planes canceled, transport lines diverted: the disruptions to be expected Thursday, April 6 in Nantes

A new national mobilization is planned for Thursday, April 6 in France against the pension reform.

The meeting between the unions and the government, organized this Wednesday morning, did not unblock the situation.

Between 600,000 and 800,000 people are expected tomorrow in the streets among the 370 national actions.

At the same time, a strike leading to transport disruptions is announced.

TAN network lines cut from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. in the center of Nantes

From 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the circulation of certain public transport will be diverted or shortened due to the demonstrations.

Here are the lines involved:

  • Line 1 of the tramway: cut between Commerce and Duchesse Anne

  • Line 2 of the tramway: terminus at 50 hostages

  • Line 3 of the tramway: cut between Commerce and Hôtel Dieu

  • Busway line 4: normal route

  • Line C1: cut between Copernic and Foch Cathedral

  • Line C2: terminus at Talensac

  • Line C3: cut between Copernic and Gare SNCF Sud

  • Line C6: cut between Delorme and Foch Cathédrale

  • Line 11: cut between Square Daviais and Foch Cathédrale

  • Line 12: cut between Talensac and Foch Cathédrale

  • Line 23: cut between Copernic and Talensac

  • Line 26: cut between Gaston Veil and Delorme

  • Line 54: terminus at Delorme

  • Airport shuttle: terminus at Hôtel Dieu

Regarding the rest of the day, tram lines 1, 2 and 3 will pass a little less often than usual, with green day timetables, as will bus lines 10, 11, 12, 23, 26, 30, 36, 38, 50, 54, 69, 75, 80, 85, 86, 87, 95, 97, 98 and E5.

The E1, 71 and 91 will run even less with yellow day timetables.

Air traffic disrupted

Spared during the recent demonstrations, Nantes airport should again be subject to flight cancellations on April 6.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has asked companies to cancel 20% of their flights at certain airports, including Nantes-Atlantique, due to the strike by air traffic controllers.

Due to social movements and various traffic blocking actions in the Nantes conurbation, access to the airport could be disrupted.

Fewer trains

At the SNCF, the forecasts in the Pays de la Loire region are as follows: 1 TER out of 2, 3 TGV out of 4, 1 Ouigo classic train out of 2 and 1 Intercités out of 4.

The events organized in Loire-Atlantique on Thursday April 6:

  • Nantes: 10 a.m. at the Water Mirror.

  • Saint-Nazaire: 10 a.m., place de l'Amérique Latine.

  • Pontchâteau: 6 p.m., town hall square.

  • Guérande: 6 p.m. in front of Athanor.

  • Ancenis: 10 a.m., at the Esso station.

  • Châteaubriant: 10 a.m., at the town hall.

  • Clisson: 4.30 p.m., at the station.

  • Machecoul: 6 p.m., place des halles.
