The city of Carson, in Los Angeles County (California), is offering a $100,000 reward for the disappearance of 16-year-old
Latina Alinka Angeline Castaneda
, whom her family last saw three months ago.
According to a bulletin released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Castaneda was last seen on January 1, 2023 at 5:00 am entering a parked car at 23000 S. Caroldale Ave., in a neighborhood of Carson.
As indicated by Moses Castillo, a former detective of the Los Angeles Police Department, quoted by the local chain Telemundo 52, that money would be given to whoever offers information that leads to an arrest and conviction, since it is suspected that Castaneda has been kidnapped

Castillo represents the young woman's family.

"I am happy because I know that they did not leave me alone, that I have support, that my city that I love did not fail me," Marciela Ávila Roses, Castaneda's mother, reacted to the reward, quoted by Telemundo 52.
Alan Toruno, brother of the missing girl, told the station that "it almost feels like I can breathe again. I feel like this is definitely going to help."

The young woman's mother told the Telemundo 52 station that her daughter did not usually go out with many friends but that she had met a young man two days before she disappeared.
Castaneda's mobile phone and social networks were deactivated, the local station said.

Police asked that anyone with information about the case contact authorities.
"Whoever has her, please let her come home," said Avelina Medina, a family friend, quoted by ABC7.
