"Everyone is on vacation": ADAC warns of busy Easter days
"The ADAC is expecting significantly more travel at Easter this year than in the Corona years, but the level of 2019 will probably not be reached," says the forecast.
The tense economic situation and the high prices kept many from longer vacation trips, so the assumption.
The ADAC names “the higher-lying winter sports centers in the Alps” as a preferred destination for shorter excursions.
According to the forecast, most of the traffic jams of the Easter holidays should occur on Maundy Thursday.
In 2019, this was one of the five busiest days of the year.
"Many commuters will be on their way home and many travelers on their way to family or friends," predicts the ADAC.
Busy hours are also expected for Easter Monday, when the long weekend and in some federal states also the holidays end.
