Three men were indicted and imprisoned for "
murder in an organized gang
" after the disappearance of a 45-year-old man whose body was not found, announced Thursday the public prosecutor of Saint-Brieuc.
The disappearance of the victim had been reported to the gendarmes of Loudéac (Côtes-d'Armor) on February 26 by his former companion, said prosecutor Nicolas Heitz in a press release.
"Contradicting Versions"
Heard, the victim's daughter explained that she had not heard from her father, with whom she had been in daily contact, since February 17.

She related that her father had already been the victim of kidnappings and kidnappings during the summer of 2022

She added that "
a relative of her father had informed her that he was currently sequestered due to a drug debt
" following the events of the summer of 2022.

The first investigations showed that the telephone of the missing person had stopped broadcasting on February 18.
On March 6, a judicial investigation "
was opened against X for kidnapping and forcible confinement
", according to Nicolas Heitz.
On March 20 and 21, "
four individuals were taken into custody
".

All disputed the alleged facts but contradictory versions were delivered
”, specifies the magistrate.
On March 24, three of the four people in police custody were indicted on charges of "
kidnapping and forcible confinement
" as well as "
murder in an organized gang
" and "
criminal association
".

The investigations will now continue under the authority of the investigating magistrate in order to allow the manifestation of the truth.
