The pro-Iranian Islamist movement Hezbollah in Lebanon, which has a powerful armed wing, announced on Thursday that it would support "
all measures
" that Palestinian organizations would take against Israel after the violence in the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.

Hezbollah violently denounces the assault carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the esplanade of the Al-Aqsa mosque and its attacks on the faithful
," said the influential formation in a press release.
International condemnations have multiplied after Israeli police intervened overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday to violently dislodge Palestinian worshipers from Islam's third holiest site, in the midst of religious holiday season.
This violence comes as Muslims have reached the middle of the month of Ramadan and Jews have been celebrating Passover since Wednesday evening, in a particularly tense climate between Israelis and Palestinians since the beginning of the year.

Hezbollah proclaims its full solidarity with the Palestinian people and the resistance movements (to Israel, editor’s note), and assures that it will stand by their side for all the measures they take to protect the faithful and the mosque. ,” the statement added.

Two rockets were fired Wednesday evening from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory, the Israeli army and witnesses said, after similar fire the previous night to which Israel responded with strikes, amid violence in the Al Mosque. -Aqsa in Jerusalem.
Hezbollah, Israel's nemesis, maintains good relations with the Palestinian movement Hamas, in power in Gaza, and with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Its secretary general Hassan Nasrallah received officials from both parties in March.
