The Argentine soccer team, current world champion, ranks first in the world rankings prepared by FIFA, surpassing France, which is second, and Brazil, third, as announced by the institution today.
Argentina, which had not been in first place since March 2017, leads the ranking with 1,840.93 points, followed by France, world runner-up, with 1,838.45, and Brazil with 1,834.21.
This is the fifth time that Argentina has reached world number one in the ranking, which began in August 1993, and Lionel Messi was in each of those selected.
This promotion of Argentina is due to the world title achieved in Qatar 2022 and the friendlies won in our country against Panama (2-0) and Curaçao (7-0), added to the defeat of Brazil in a friendly against Morocco.
