After the announcement of Lampard as interim, the English club has him on the list to take charge of Enzo Fernández's team.

This Thursday,

Chelsea

announced that

Frank Lampard

, the club's former midfielder, will be the interim manager until the end of the season.

But from June there will be a new coach and

Marcelo Gallardo

appears on the list of candidates to take charge of the team that has

Enzo Fernández

as a figure.

Lampard arrives at Chelsea to replace Bruno Saltor, interim after the sacking of Graham Potter.

The team is going far in the Premier and next week it has a quarterfinal match against Real Madrid for the Champions League.

The idea is that a new coach will occupy that place for the 2023/2024 season.

El Muñeco, out of work since his departure from River at the end of last year, sounded in several clubs in Europe such as Valencia, Rome or PSG, although this time it seems that the interest of the English is concrete and real.

In addition, it coincides with one of the conditions that the Argentine coach usually seeks, starting a project from scratch, with a preseason and planning the assembly of the squad.

Of course, in this race to be Chelsea manager there are two other names that sound loud in England: the German Julian Nagelsmann and the Spanish Luis Enrique.

The former Bayern Munich player, fired from the Teutonic team due to a personal problem but rounding off a great campaign, is to the taste of the managers although his youth (he is 36 years old) works against him to manage a dressing room full of figures and cracked by the egos.

Luis Enrique, for his part, traveled to London with a couple of members of his coaching staff and in England they say that he met with the people in charge of Chelsea to present his football project.

Lampard, recognized as one of the legends of the "Blues", managed Chelsea for 18 months until January 2021, when he was replaced by the German Thomas Tuchel, who later guided the club to win the "Champions League" that season.

The former member of the England National Team was fired from Everton in January and will make his debut this Saturday against Wolverhampton on date 30 of the Premier League.

A few days later, on Wednesday the 11th, he will visit Real Madrid for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals.
