But now there is another current survey.

It was carried out by the US broadcaster CNN among 1048 US citizens.

According to this, 60 percent of US citizens support the Trump impeachment.

The other results of the survey:

  • Around three-quarters of respondents indicated that politics played at least some role in the decision.

  • Of the three-quarters, 52 percent said politics played an important role.

  • 62 percent of the non-party support the accusation, 38 percent rejected it.

  • 94 percent of Democrat supporters supported the impeachment.

  • 79 percent of Republican supporters reject it.

Meanwhile, Mexico's President Manuel López Obrador said he believes the charges against Trump are "politically motivated."

This should affect his chances in the 2024 presidential election.

"Legal matters should not be used for electoral purposes," Obrador told reporters on Wednesday (April 5), a day after Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts in connection with paying hush money to a porn star.
