You can try these simple craft ideas for Easter:

  • Dye Easter eggs: The classic that should not be missing in any Easter basket are dyed eggs.

Before coloring you should test whether the egg is still good and we have coloring instructions for you here.

Of course, colored eggs can also be given bunny ears and a face.

  • Painting Easter Eggs: The other option is to blow out eggs and then paint the dry eggs.

This requires a bit of finesse, but thanks to egg cups as holders, smaller children can get creative.

Painted Easter eggs are also a nice family heirloom.

You can read here how to blow out and color eggs properly.

  • Weaving an Easter wreath: The door or table decorations should not be missing at Easter.

Wreaths are a popular and easy option any time of the year.

You have the choice between a purchased wreath made of twigs, which is only used for decoration, and one that you braid yourself.

For the latter, willow, vine or other flexible branches are recommended.

The braiding itself is quite easy.

Start with a long branch, shaped into an appropriately sized circle and fastened.

Most of the time the braid will hold itself, but you can use string or wire.

Simply wrap more branches around this base until the wreath is thick enough.

    Now it's time to decorate.

Artificial flowers and dried flowers are suitable for long-lasting wreaths.

You can install fresh flowers with bulbs or as cut flowers.

    Moss,

colorful ribbons and of course the painted Easter eggs go well with the wreath.

Empty egg shells or feathers (if you keep birds yourself) are also nice options.

    Box branches provide more greenery.

  • Design flower vases: Tulips, daffodils, daffodils and many more bloom in spring and add color to the home as cut flowers.

Unfortunately, while tulips and daffodils do not make good partners in a vase, many small, individual vases next to each other also look pretty.

Stick paste and paper on old glasses or paint them with pastel colours.

Thanks to upcycling, cans can also quickly become pretty vessels and are also suitable for hanging up.

  • Branches with Easter eggs: The forsythia usually blooms at Easter.

Bring some twigs inside, if you are not allergic you can also use catkin willow or hazel twigs.

In a tall vase, the branches look great decorated with colorful Easter eggs and small fabric bunnies or chicks.

Of course there are also illuminated decorative branches that you can decorate for Easter.

  • Paper Easter bunnies and chicks: Paper animals are perfect for windows.

Either you look for a suitable template in a handicraft book or on the Internet, or you use toilet rolls.

They are either painted in bright colors or wrapped in colored paper.

Now you need another roll for the ears.

Simply squeeze the toilet roll and cut into narrow strips.

Unfold the strips a little and glue two of them to the colored roll as ears.

Draw on the eyes, nose and mouth and the Easter bunny is ready.

By the way, it is also perfect as a hiding place for Easter eggs.

  • Handicrafts with tree discs: Thin, small tree discs are now available almost everywhere, or you can cut them yourself. These wooden discs are used in handicrafts as a body for any animal, such as a sheep, rabbit or chick.

Paint the disc in the appropriate colour, the hare then gets a head, ears and a tail, the chick gets a beak and wings or the sheep gets a head, tail and possibly wool from cords.

This decoration is also great to hang up.

  • Paint paper plates: Paper plates are a great craft material for small children because they are large and therefore easier to work with.

Help your child create bunny ears to glue to the plate, pipe cleaners for the bunny's whiskers, plus a painted nose and eyes.

There is hardly any risk of injury with this handicraft (apart from the glue), so even the little ones can help diligently.

Never throw away empty kitchen or toilet rolls before Easter.

Eggs could also be decorated with moss or crochet work, for example, and even the napkin rings can have rabbit ears at Easter.
