When you think of animal rescue and fire brigade, the first thing that comes to mind is the image of the cat in the tree.
In fact, the operation on Thursday evening was about a birdie.
To get straight to the point: it was supposed to be rescued, but at the end of the day it was never found.

Late on Thursday afternoon, she calls the fire brigade for help.

They arrive with far more than ten men.
"We were far too many.
But in the run-up to an operation, you never know how many men will be needed," says Commander and Operations Manager Klaus Straub.
Ladders are put in place, the men cover parts of the roof to save the birdie.
However, they will not find a bird at the end of the day.
"Maybe he flew out from under the chimney, we don't know," says Straub.
A mission about a bird?
It's about animal welfare, explains Straub.
It doesn't matter whether it's a bird, a cat or another animal.
