Mauggen – In his last annual report he looked back.

For eight years he had worked as second rifle champion, when he then took over at the front line.

His thanks went to the board, all the helpers at events, the long-standing companions and his wife Margit.

Highlights of his tenure: the first big village festival, vintage car meetings and the founding of the cycling department.

The biggest highlight was the construction of the Schützenheim with 16 facilities and parlour.

In 2022 the club celebrated its 70th anniversary and the cycling friends their 100th anniversary.

During Mair's tenure, it grew steadily from 180 to currently 273 members.

You can also be seen in sport, especially with the successful young people and target shooters.

Treasurer Anton Rauch reported an increase in the club treasury and sports director Igor Thomas of successes with three starts at the Bavarian.

Seven of the club's teams take part in the round-robin competition, and one team also shoots in the district league.

Youth leader Anton Winkler looked back on a strong year for the youngsters, the most recent success being the victory of the youth team in the Cup Round Group East.

Training with the light gun is planned.

Alfred Ascher, head of the cycling department, looked back on the anniversary with the big picture search drive with 130 participants.

A multi-day trip starting in Passau is also planned this year.

According to Ascher, more participants in the weekly trips would be desirable.

A success story is the spinning operation in the Schützenheim.

Mair received a district mug from Gauschützenmeister Klaus Waldherr for his many years of service.

As the first official act, his successor, Oberpriller, presented gifts to Herbert Sterr, Rainer Hampel and Franz Westermaier, who were resigning from the Board.

The elections were conducted by Mayor Lorenz Angermaier, supported by Anton Schlehhuber jun.
