The facts took place in front of the Marriott hotel in the 17th arrondissement of the capital, in Porte Maillot.

On Wednesday April 5, around 8:30 p.m., a 43-year-old man was kidnapped by seven individuals when he had just left the establishment.

The victim managed

in extremis

to give way to his kidnappers

The man who was kidnapped had gone to the Marriott hotel for a meeting with a certain Habib.

He wanted to buy 400 grams of gold from him.

Claiming to wish to finalize the transaction outside the establishment, the bandit invited his victim to leave the Marriott hotel.

But no sooner had they crossed the threshold than several individuals threw themselves on him, relieved him of his precious metal and forced him to board a vehicle.

Inside, the victim claims to have been assaulted, gagged, tied up and to have received several stab wounds, according to a police source.

After driving for nearly 70 kilometers, the car stopped at a motorway toll, not far from Montreuil-aux-Lions, in Aisne.

Taking advantage of the distraction of his executioners, the victim then managed to extricate himself from the vehicle.

She took refuge in a building of the North and East of France motorway company, where she was taken care of by the local gendarmes.

Investigations are ongoing.
