The 22-year-old man arrested in Mayotte in the investigation opened after the death of two men shot dead on March 28 in Rennes was indicted for "attempted murder"
and

organized gang murders
" and imprisoned, a learned AFP this Saturday from a judicial source.
Arrested on April 3 in Mayotte, he was presented Friday to the prosecution of the specialized interregional jurisdiction of Rennes (Jirs), said the public prosecutor Philippe Astruc.

He was remanded in custody Friday night.
Born in Mamoudzou, with no criminal record, he had been arrested on the arrest warrant of the Jirs prosecutor's office, when he had left mainland France to land in the Comoros and arrived in Mayotte by boat.

His girlfriend, "
who actively helped him to leave the national territory, was indicted on this count

She was also remanded in custody.
"A large sum of cash was found at the home of Saint-Brieuc" of the 20-year-old student, born in the Comoros.
The indicted faces life imprisonment, his girlfriend a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
