"Sleeping in the mosque to get closer to Allah": the Muslim custom that Hamas exploits for escalation - voila! news

The "Attaqaf", the custom intended to "unite with Allah", takes on an additional meaning in Ramadan, and like everything on the Temple Mount - also took a political turn. According to the status quo, it is possible to spend the night in Al-Aqsa territory only at the end of the month. But the terrorist organizations call on the young people to "rebell" in order to keep the place - and create a dangerous snowball

Similar to the days before Yom Kippur in Judaism, Muslims also attach great importance to a person's solitude so that he can get closer to God and faith and "unite with Allah".

In the month of Ramadan, which is considered one of the most important times in the Muslim calendar - this custom is doubly strong, and takes on a deep meaning for many throughout the Arab world who are in the habit of observing the month of "Attaqaf" and sleeping within the walls of the mosque.

The common custom also reached the foot of "Al-Aqsa", and like every situation that occurs on the Temple Mount - it also took a political and political turn.

Immediately after the Six-Day War in '67, a status quo was established with the Jordanian Waqf on the "Attaqaf" on the Temple Mount: only on the last ten days of Ramadan is one allowed to spend the night on the grounds of the mosque - and on these days Jews are not allowed to enter.

However, terrorist organizations consistently try year after year to violate the status quo between Israel and the Jordanians, and to make the young people observe the custom and stay on the mountain after the agreed hours.

Every year, Hamas and Muslim organizations in Turkey, Jordan and Egypt petition the Kingdom of Jordan to allow ``Attaqaf every night of the month, and define the refusal: "Surrender to the Zionist entity - it is the one that controls the Temple Mount."

Two years ago, close to the wall guard operation, the Kingdom of Jordan issued an unusual announcement - calling on the public to obey the Waqf's instructions and not stay on the mountain for the first 20 days.

A similar announcement was made last year as well.

Behind the scenes of the announcement: senior Israelis who arrived in Jordan, then Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, Minister of Defense Benny Gantz and Minister of Internal Security, Amr Bar Lev.

In the face of the Western attempts to bring about an agreed settlement, the reading on the networks is only increasing: in some media channels affiliated with Hamas, every night they count how many people managed to "rebell" and observe the custom.

Sometimes thirty, sometimes forty, sometimes even hundreds.

In exceptional cases, it was reported that even while ignoring the Waqf employees who are supposed to take care of the status quo on the mountain - however, no official approval from the police was received on the matter.

Sheikh Akrama Sabri, who is known for his aggressive and inciting stance against Israel, called the young people on one of the first nights and said: "The occupation began with an operation against the Al-Aqsa Mosque, fighting the freedom of prayer and removing the worshipers from it."

Sources privy to the details tell Walla!

Because every year there are secret diplomatic efforts to calm the spirits, including phone calls between officials from the kingdom and clerics in the eastern part of the city, who preach in favor of the Atqaf.

One image can change everything: the rolling snow globe

As mentioned, the snowball started rolling a long time ago - but it seems that this year it gained momentum with the death of Muhammad al-Ousaibi last Friday night - who stayed on the mountain during an illegal time.

The terrorist organizations that shared the word of his death through their official channels (and those that did not) gave him the nickname "Al-Mata'aqaf", or in Hebrew "the loner", and the call to come and spend the night within the walls of Al-Aqsa gained additional validity.

At the same time, as every year, Jewish activists who support the ascension and offering of sacrifices on the Temple Mount on the eve of Passover published about their intentions - and the Muslim elements who try to incite on the mount found a new target.

They called on the masses to come on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, and defend Al-Aqsa with the help of a mass At'aqaf.

At the end of the evening, pictures of drawn weapons and a report of 350 arrests in one night came out.

One picture that can change the security reality.

In response to this, Hamas threatened to retaliate and fired dozens of rockets from the south and the north in the afternoon of Passover, and since then the security establishment has been on high alert as attention is paid to what is happening on the Temple Mount.

This morning (Sunday) the large "Blessing of the Priests" is expected in the Western Wall plaza, to which thousands of worshipers are expected to arrive.

According to the Muslim faith - the prayer desecrates the "Al-Burak" wall that surrounds the mosque, so the event should be prevented.

Modi has experience from the events of the past week - all parties understand that what is happening on the Temple Mount is not a one-off event in the month of Ramadan and its combination with the Jewish holidays, and one image could completely change the security reality from one end to the other.
