Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah met today (Sunday) with Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Beirut, against the backdrop of growing tensions on all fronts and the rocket barrages launched from Lebanon into Israel on Thursday. According to Hezbollah, they discussed "the important developments in occupied Palestine and the events at the Al-Aqsa Mosque" as well as "In the escalation of the resistance in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip." In addition to this, they discussed "the political developments in the region, and the readiness of the axis of resistance and the cooperation of its members to deal with all these events and developments." Israel refrained from attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon after the heavy barrages during Passover
. and instead hit Hamas targets in the country and the Gaza Strip. This is despite the fact that Hezbollah, supported by Iran and coordinated with Tehran, controls southern Lebanon and it is hard to believe that such a massive shooting could have been carried out without its knowledge and approval.

Another sign of the possible involvement of Iran and Hezbollah in the escalation in the region is the firing of rockets from Syria towards the Golan Heights in the last day.
There is a significant presence of pro-Iranian Shiite militias in the region, and in recent years there have been a series of incidents against them on the Golan border, especially during times of tensions with Tehran.
