Climate activists are always attracting attention with new and imaginative actions.

Now the "last generation" even wants to paralyze the whole of Berlin.

Berlin – Many experts agree that the “1.5 degree target” set at the 2015 climate conference in Paris is no longer achievable.

The "last generation" does not want to accept this and regularly demonstrates for compliance with the agreed goals.

Now even Germany's capital Berlin is to be paralyzed.

Climate stickers want to paralyze Berlin at the end of April

At the 21st UN climate conference in Paris in 2015, almost every country in the world signed an agreement that stipulates compliance with the so-called "1.5 degree target".

Accordingly, the man-made global temperature rise due to the greenhouse effect should be limited to 1.5 degrees by the year 2100.

The value from the beginning of industrialization between 1850 and 1900 is used as a comparison value.

Compliance with this goal is now considered by many to be impossible.

The self-proclaimed "last generation" does not want to accept that.

The climate activists are active in Germany and Austria, among other places, and want to force the respective governments to take action against the climate crisis.

The activists are known to many people in Germany as “climate glue” because the “last generation” was more often stuck on the streets and thus severely disrupted car traffic.

The group is looking for bigger and bigger goals: At the end of April 2023, even Germany's capital Berlin is to be paralyzed.

This is what the “Last Generation” is planning for Berlin at the end of April

As the headline for their planned protest action, the last generation set “We are moving the government to move.” What the climate activists dislike about the federal government is what they describe in the statement on the upcoming protest: “This government is not going forward.

It called itself the "Progress Coalition".

It protects economic profits instead of our livelihoods.” They then show that they mean business: “It can’t go on like this – we’re coming to Berlin and bringing the city to a standstill.”

The last generation plans to demonstrate in the government district from April 19th.

But that's not all: "From Monday, April 24th, we will peacefully bring Berlin to a standstill with street blockades," the climate activists announced their further plan.

On April 23rd from 3 p.m. there should already be a meeting at the Brandenburg Gate.

The activists are currently demanding from the government, among other things, a speed limit of 100 kilometers per hour on German autobahns and a comeback of the 9-euro ticket – the 49-euro ticket is not enough for them.
