Mauricio Macri gets into Boca's inmate and hit Juan Román Riquelme: "He governs the club at will"

2023-04-09T15:40:26.397Z

The former president confirmed that he will participate in the next elections, in which he supports the candidacy of Andrés Ibarra. "I'm very worried," he said.

Mauricio Macri once again showed his displeasure at the leadership of Juan Román Riquelme in Boca and confirmed that

he will "participate"

in the Xeneize club elections that will take place next November.

"

He governs the club at will and I don't believe in that

," the former president attacked the current vice president of Boca.

"Everything that we built in 12 years

is now in crisis

due to the personalistic way that Juan Román Riquelme has to govern the club at will," Macri complained.

In a talk with

Radio Rivadavia

, Macri disagreed this Sunday with Riquelme's "personalized" handling, and expressed his concern about the football ups and downs that Boca is experiencing.

"You can win or lose, but what is happening cannot happen. We lead Boca to be a solid, strong, organized and respected institution throughout the world for its achievements: 16 titles," Macri remarked.

And he added: "Boca is above any name.

The club cannot be managed like this

, I am really very worried - insisted Macri -.

I do not believe in the attitude of personal driving that Riquelme has

. Not at all. And I am not confused, Nobody disputes what he was like as a player, because I went to look for him twice so that he was in Boca. But all that has nothing to do with being a sports leader and conducting himself with those emotional parameters, with that arrogance", he sentenced.

Days ago, on Boca's 118th birthday, Macri appeared

with Andrés Ibarra in a campaign spot

.

In the video, Macri does not say anything, but there is a smile and a gesture that speaks for a thousand words.

The focus of a blue and yellow cake with the Xeneize shield is the first thing that appears in the video.

But when the shot is enlarged, Mauricio Macri can be seen behind the cake.

A voiceover proposes "I made a wish".

There, he turns his head to the left to look at the presidential candidate, Ibarra;

making it clear what his desire is.

Macri had been present last November when Ibarra's campaign was launched, who was general manager during his tenure at the club and Minister of Modernization of the Nation during his national presidency.

And although this Sunday he did not confirm with what role he will participate in the xeneize elections, he did reaffirm that "he will participate."

"I am going to participate because this situation has me worried. Very worried," insisted Macri.

Just this Saturday, the mythical Topo Gigio de Román a Macri celebrated the 22nd anniversary.

In 2001, one of the club's most emblematic players challenged President Xeneize in front of 50,000 people and the entire world who saw him on TV.

More than two decades later, that wound remains open.
