A bit of spring over Easter, then the rain front hits Bavaria.
From the middle of the month, winter seems to want to know again, a "cold advance" is imminent.
Munich – Spring peaks in Bavaria at Easter.
The sun was already shining in many places on Easter Sunday and caused the temperatures to rise – at least above the 10-degree mark.
On the lower Main, the people of Lower Franconia could even be happy about almost 15 degrees, in Munich, on the other hand, it was just enough for 11 degrees.
At the request of our editors, the German Weather Service (DWD) predicted cloudy skies for Easter Monday at the beginning of the week.

Spring-like temperatures on Easter Monday: Then the weather in Bavaria changes
The weather portals agree: Easter Monday will be the nicest day of the week.
With spring-like temperatures of up to 18 degrees in the Free State, it remains by far the warmest day in recent days.
According to meteorologist Dominik Jung from wetter.net,
the first "heat wave" of the year
is responsible for this .
Temperatures in Spain and Portugal are currently over 30 degrees.
It is only a matter of time, "when this warmth will spill over to us at full throttle."
However, Bayern still have to be patient.
After a rather mild Easter Monday, the forecasts predict rain and thunderstorms, and the temperatures will drop again.
The Weather Channel
expects "heavy rain showers", Jung predicts a rainfall of 140 to 150 liters of rain per square meter by April 22nd.
However, this only applies to the edge of the Alps, where Bayern apparently have to be prepared for permanent rain from Tuesday.

The Easter flowers are still in the sun on Monday, but it's supposed to snow again from mid-April.

In his forecast, weather expert Jung also gives an outlook for the rest of April.
In Europe, Germany is “between the first heat wave and a new cold shock.” According to the American GFS model, the cold air masses in northern Europe appear to be winning.
From mid-April, "the GFS-Lauf, curiously enough, expects a new attack of cold." Jung can hardly believe it.
An "icy-cold high-altitude current" is coming towards us.

"Sleet showers, sleet showers" and sub-zero temperatures have the "cold shock" in their luggage: at least that's how Jung interprets the weather model for mid to late April.
"Winter seems to want to know again." It remains to be seen whether that will actually happen.
