The current DSDS season has been met with sharp criticism for weeks.
Pop star Nino de Angelo is also disappointed with the format – and sees the problem with Dieter Bohlen.
Wertach – The viewers will certainly remember the anniversary season of DSDS for a long time – albeit for the completely wrong reasons.
Because instead of celebrating the last 20 years of the singing competition, jury boss Dieter Bohlen (69) caused a stir with sexist statements and a mud fight with colleague Katja Krasavice (26).
Like many fans of the RTL format, Nino de Angelo (59) is anything but enthusiastic about the current edition of the RTL format – and loudly scolds the pop titan.

At the end of the 1980s, Dieter Bohlen produced several songs for Nino de Angelo, including the piece "Flieger" in 1989, with which the native of Karlsruhe took 14th place in the Eurovision Song Contest.
There doesn't seem to be much left of the close cooperation that once connected the two, because on his Instagram profile the hit star, whose real name is Domenico Gerhard Gorgoglione, is now properly against DSDS veteran Dieter.
After claiming shortly before that he would be on the DSDS jury, Nino de Angelo corrects this claim in a selfie with Dieter Bohlen and resolutely opposes his former producer.
"But I really think it would be better to stop the format as planned before nobody watches it anymore," he explains, "DSDS and Bohlen should retire."
As if these words hadn't been said enough, Nino de Angelo
continues to vent his anger to

"The program and Dieter's sayings are simply no longer up to date and outdated," the German-Italian rants, "That was maybe funny ten years ago.
But today it's just embarrassing.
Dieter should just go." He also doesn't know why the wealthy modern-talking star is still involved in DSDS, but has a theory: "He probably needs attention to himself in order to be able to live."

also comments that DSDS is well behind previous seasons in terms of ratings (according to
quotenmeter.de , only 1.85 million viewers tuned in to the live show on Easter Saturday).
The "Jenseits von Eden" interpreter could not understand that another edition should be produced despite the bad numbers.
"If you do another season now, the ratings will continue to slide," he explains, "Perhaps DSDS would still have a chance if you brought completely new people to the jury and no longer Dieter."

It sounds as if Dieter Bohlen and Co. would have to do without Nino de Angelo as a viewer in the next DSDS season – but he doesn't really seem to believe in the success of the format anyway: "I mean, Dieter has been looking for 20 years now the superstar and still hasn't found him. ”The dispute between Dieter Bohlen and Katja Krasavice is getting worse and worse, because the DSDS juror stayed in the dressing room during the dress rehearsals.
