The organs of Leah (Lucy) Dee, who was murdered in an attack in the Jordan Valley alongside her two daughters, were transplanted tonight (Tuesday) into five people and saved their lives.
The transplant operation was conducted at Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, after the death of the mother, who was hospitalized for days at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem, was pronounced yesterday.

Lucy's heart was transplanted into 51-year-old Little Valencia who had long suffered from severe heart failure.
"A simple action like going up the stairs was impossible for me," she said.
The director of the heart and thoracic surgery department at the hospital, Prof. Dan Aravat, said that "it is a second heart that we are transplanting in the last week following a terrible tragedy. The act of the noble family is a point of light in the darkness and they have saved the lives of many patients."
During the transplant operation, a liver was transplanted in a 25-year-old man, lungs in a 58-year-old woman, and two kidneys in 58- and 39-year-old men.
The liver and kidney transplant recipients were analyzed by Dr. Avitar Nesher and Dr. Vladimir Tank, senior doctors in the hospital's transplant department.
The National Center for Transplantation stated that the corneas of her eyes will be transplanted later.
Many medical personnel were recruited for the transplant operation, including transplant coordinators, operating room brothers and sisters, anesthesiologists, sanitation workers, laboratory personnel, X-ray and pathology department personnel.
"Besides the great tragedy, Little is on the way to a new life," said the director of the heart failure unit in the cardiology department at the hospital, Dr. Tovia Ben Gal.
