The crisis engendered in Israel by the judicial reform project is not yet settled that a new fault line is appearing at the highest level of the State.
It is linked to the creation of a national guard which would be placed directly under the orders of the Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, bypassing the police, who make no secret of his opposition.
The first stone was laid on the first Sunday of April, in the Council of Ministers.
The principle was granted to Itamar Ben Gvir, who is the leader of a Jewish supremacist party, at the height of the judicial reform crisis, as Binyamin Netanyahu's coalition threatened to crumble.
This was to ensure its support before announcing the pause of the reform.
After the government approved this decision, Itamar Ben Gvir welcomed
“this important news for the State of Israel and for personal security”
