A day after another negotiation meeting at the President's residence, Likud issued a statement on behalf of the negotiating team and attacked the opposition representatives: "We call on all parties to show restraint, responsibility and understand the magnitude of the hour." Earlier, the state camp and Yesh Atid published the red lines according to which they will act in the entire process

Likud published a statement today (Tuesday) on behalf of the coalition's negotiation team regarding negotiations in the legal revolution.

According to the announcement, the representatives "are making every effort to promote broad agreements around proper legal reform. We come to negotiate with an open heart and a willing mind."

They also claimed that "the coalition stands by its right to promote a reform that will ensure the restoration of balance vis-à-vis the judiciary as is customary in the Western world. The coalition is committed to promoting the protection of human rights in Israel and is conducting negotiations at the President's House to reach agreements that will allay misguided fears of any violation of them."

In the message, they attacked the representatives of the negotiations from the opposition.

"Ultimatums and shouting slogans to the media at the beginning of the discussions will not produce agreements. We call on all parties to show restraint, responsibility and understand the magnitude of the hour."

The announcement was made after the updates issued by Yesh Atid and the state camp on what is happening in the negotiations, in which the conditions, demands and red lines of the parties were clarified.

Yesterday the negotiations resumed at the President's residence.

Lawyers on behalf of the coalition, Yesh Atid and the state camp were appointed in an attempt to promote agreements and map the main points of dispute, in preparation for the resumption of political negotiations after the holiday.

At the end of the meeting, which took place for about three hours, the state camp issued a statement clarifying the party's demand to begin discussions on the issue of the committee for the selection of judges, "due to the understanding that this is the bedrock of the dispute and agreement on it will pave the way for further agreements."

This morning, Yesh Atid issued a statement on behalf of the negotiation team to the President's House, in which they presented their principles for the continuation of the negotiations and made it clear that they wish to discuss not only the committee for the appointment of judges, but demand the enactment of a basic law of justice, a basic law of legislation, and a basic law of civil rights in the spirit of the Declaration of Independence.
