On the Côte d'Azur, the inter-union will parade in the morning in the city center but few disturbances are to be expected.

Le Figaro Nice

The Nice mobilization extends over time, following the same tempo as the national against the pension reform.

A fact to underline because the people of the Riviera are not known to beat the pavement in numbers and with determination.

For the twelfth time and on the eve of the decision of the Constitutional Council, the local inter-union will do it again in the city center.

The demonstrators are expected at 10 a.m. at the Théâtre de Verdure, on the Promenade des Anglais, for a departure of the procession around 10:30 a.m.

They will take the direction of Place Masséna to join Avenues Jean-Médecin and Malaussena, to end the stroll at lunchtime on Place de la Liberation.

Another procession will leave Cannes at 2 p.m. from the roundabout in Great Britain.

No notice given by Lignes d'Azur

Unlike the last day of mobilization, the manager of the public transport network, Lignes d'Azur, did not file a strike notice.

All lines must therefore operate, including the three tram lines.

But still not quite normally.

Disruptions are to be expected due to the route of the demonstration in the morning.

Thus, line 1 and history of the Nice tramway should be interrupted when the procession will engage on the rails of Avenue Jean-Médecin to go up to Place du Général-de-Gaulle.

Bus lines will also be impacted.

No service is scheduled throughout the morning for lines 40 and 44. Lines 9, 42, 50, 51, 60/61, 62 will also be disrupted all day.

“Disturbed” for trains and reimbursement of subscriptions

The umpteenth day of disturbances on the rails of the Alpes-Maritimes, Thursday.

SNCF warns that train traffic will be disrupted in the department due to the social movement.

Many regional express trains, which the Riviera residents use to connect the various cities from Cannes to Monaco, via Antibes, will therefore be cancelled.

The details of the disturbances will be notified at the end of the day on the SNCF website.

For the month of April and due to the recurrence of train delays and cancellations due to the social movement, the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region has announced that it will compensate subscribers up to 50%.

This therefore concerns Zou cards!

and it will happen automatically.

The Rhône-Alpes region had also decided to reimburse part of the subscriptions of its users because of the repeated strikes.

“Risk of cancellations” for certain flights

Nice Côte d'Azur airport should be little, if at all, impacted by the strike.

On its website, it still specifies

"risks of disruptions and cancellations of flights"

, as on each day of mobilization.

It also depends on the extent of the dispute in other cities with potentially affected airports (Paris, Toulouse, Nantes or Bordeaux, daily connections to Nice).

On Friday, the CGT des Alpes-Maritimes is already announcing a new gathering in the heart of the city of Nice, on the Place du Palais de justice.

The extent of this consolidation will depend on the response expected from the Constitutional Council to validate, or not, the pension reform.
