The traffic division informed today (Wednesday) that the exits from Eilat towards the north have been blocked, following the many floods in the area.

Highway 90 was blocked from the Arava junction to the Rest junction in both directions, as well as Highway 12 at the entrance and exit from the southern city.

In addition, road 40 from the Tzihor junction to Mitzpe Ramon was also blocked in both directions.

"The driving public is requested to show responsibility and not to reach the area of the blockades and not to try to cross roads where there is water or drift on the road," said the traffic department.

The Nature and Parks Authority warned of another wave of floods and informed that due to the weather, travel sites from the Golan Heights to the Yatbata area were closed.

Among the sites that were closed: Nahal El Al trails, Keren Ein Gev and Nahal Mitzer, the Kochav Jordan overnight parking lot, the trail in Ein Abdat, all surfing trails in the Yehuda Desert and the Ein Gedi nature reserve is closed except for the first waterfall in Nahal David and the synagogue.

During the day the temperatures will continue to drop considerably and it will be colder than usual.

During the night the rains will continue for periods and there will still be a fear of flooding in the coastal plain and floods in the Judean desert and the Dead Sea.

Even tomorrow the weather will continue to be wintry and it will rain in the north of the country and in the center.

Starting in the afternoon, the rain will weaken, although the temperature will remain lower than the average for the season. On Friday, the weather will be bright to partly cloudy again, and there will be a significant increase in temperatures, which will still be lower than the seasonal average.

The many warnings against going to areas where there is a risk of flooding, come in the wake of the two young men, the brothers Maayan and Sahar Asor, who were swept to their deaths in the Arava.

Yesterday the rescue forces located the bodies of the two who had been missing since yesterday.

A few hours earlier, another missing person who was with them, Shai Dahan, Maayan's partner, was found in a minor condition.

During that night, the police opened more than 100 different cases of citizens caught up in floods in the southern rivers.

By midnight, 60 people had been rescued in the Negev region.
