Documentation of an attack in the Homs area (Documentation of an attack in the Homs area)
The Reuters news agency reported today (Wednesday) that Iran took advantage of the earthquake in Turkey last February to transfer weapons to Syria under the guise of humanitarian aid - according to nine Syrian, Iranian and Israeli sources.
The sources added that the goal was to strengthen the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, and to help deal with the attacks attributed to Israel.
According to the report, after the earthquake two months ago, flights from Iran with a lot of equipment started landing at the airports in Aleppo, Damascus and Takia.
The planes carried advanced radios and parts to improve Syria's air defense systems.
According to one of the sources, Israel found out about the shipments, and launched a series of attacks to damage them.
Iran denied the report, while the Syrian authorities did not comment at all.
