A 33-year-old man was sentenced Thursday, April 13 on appeal to twelve years of criminal imprisonment for having killed in 2020 a motorist during a fight over a place in the queue of a washing station. Lilac (Seine-Saint-Denis).

The Paris Assize Court found Aous Trabelsi guilty of violence resulting in death without intention to give it, in a state of recidivism, and also prohibited him from carrying a weapon for fifteen years, told AFP a source close to the case.

His sentence is slightly reduced compared to that of first instance, where he had been sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment in May 2022 before the Assize Court of Seine-Saint-Denis.

On February 11, 2020, Aous Trabelsi came into conflict with Amadou Bah, a 35-year-old VTC driver, about their positioning in the queue for a Lilas car wash.

Between the two men the tone rises, blows are exchanged.

They are separated for the first time by witnesses.

A second altercation broke out when Aous Trabelsi returned to Amadou Bah.

The latter grabbed him by the throat, Aous Trabelsi took out a small knife and stabbed the driver in the abdomen.

The victim staggers and dies within minutes.

The author of the fatal blow flees with a bang.

At the first instance hearing last year, the defendant maintained that he had no intention of killing but only wanted to scare his opponent to get free.

“It was hounding me.

I took out the knife, I thought it was going to deter him and that I was going to extract myself

, ”he said during his interrogation, asking forgiveness from the relatives of the victim.
