The condition of the transplant recipients from Leah Lucy's organ donation is improving quite a bit, Billinson Hospital announced today (Thursday).

Thanks to the decision of Leo Di, the husband of Leah who was murdered in the attack in the Jordan Valley last week, the lives of five people were saved, four of them were transplanted at Beilinson Hospital and the fifth, a 58-year-old woman, received Leah's lungs and was treated at Sheba Hospital.

Little Valencia, 51, Leah Lucy's heart transplant recipient says: "During the eight months I waited for a transplant, I knew that if I received a heart transplant, it would involve someone else's tragedy. Whatever the cost of the new life I receive, it's a truly noble act, I don't know if There is a person who can withstand such a difficult ordeal, but if you can withstand such an ordeal and in the meantime allow people to live a good life, it is a blessing."

Little is a mother of two sons, and was diagnosed several years ago with heart failure.

In the last months her condition deteriorated and she needed an urgent transplant.

As a result of her illness, simple actions such as walking around the house or going up a few stairs became impossible.

One of the kidneys was transplanted in Mordechai Elkebats, a 58-year-old man, married and the father of four children.

Alkabatz has been waiting for a transplant for seven years.

"I received the notification about the transplant on my birthday, after many years in which I was barely living. Suddenly the phone came and I couldn't resist the excitement. I drove from Shlomo to Billinson quickly and within two hours I was already here in Billinson. There is a noble soul of the father here, all I have to do is pray for the ascension of her soul of the late Lucy Dee," he said excitedly.

Dr. Aviad Grabitz, a senior physician in the transplant department in Bilinson: "The real heroes are the families of the donors, they are the people who really deserve the thanks.

He who does this noble deed and gives life thanks to it.

I am happy that the surgeries were all successful, and I appreciate the hospital staff by my side when, for the second holiday eve in a row, they all come together to perform life-saving transplants.

We transplanted a liver and 2 kidneys, when one of the kidney transplant recipients, Mordechai Alkabetz, has been suffering from kidney failure for many years, and now Mordechai will finally be able to return to living a healthy and normal life after 7 years of dialysis and waiting for a transplant."
