Nini Asur (Eli Ashkenazi)
Dozens of people arrived last night (Wednesday) at the cemetery in Tiberias to pay their last respects to Maayan and Sahar Asur, a brother and sister in their 20s, who were swept to their deaths on Monday night in a flood in Nahal Tzhor, and were only found after long hours of searching.
The funeral was closed to the media and only family members and close friends attended.
The brother and sister paid their respects to family and friends.
Many of the eulogists mentioned a post that Maayan put up a few days ago in which he referred to the current rift in the nation and wrote that "the time has come for us to realize that we are all brothers".
The funeral was also attended by Shai Dehan, Maayan Asor's partner, who was also in the car that was swept away in the flood and managed to survive after being swept away in the water for several kilometers.

Nini Asur, the father of Maayan and Sahar who were swept to their deaths in the Arava flood, recounted the incident yesterday.
According to him, the family was traveling in two cars to spend the second holiday of Passover in Eilat, when heavy rain hit the area where they were traveling.
"On the way, we split up, they drove along Route 40, then got caught in a flood. My son lost control of the car, and my daughter even managed to send us a location at the last minute," he said.
"We did everything that could be done. They just got caught up in the situation," said the father.
"I don't know why they chose to travel through this road, but that's what cruel fate wanted. It was impossible to reach the area that was blocked due to the weather, the conditions were impossible."
The father also said that his little son was also supposed to get into the car that Maayan and Sahar were traveling in, but finally decided to stay with his parents.
