Nantes International Fair

The Nantes International Fair returns for an 89th edition around Italy and Venice.

From Saturday, and for 9 days, at the Palais des Expositions, more than 380 exhibitors will make the trip.

On the program: professionals in the home, garden, French crafts, gastronomy... But also festive, educational and fun events.

Note for example the exhibition “

Venice, Mysterious City

” to travel to the heart of this famous city.

In a completely different area, the Young Farmers of Loire-Atlantique are expected this weekend to help them discover the agricultural sectors: it will also be an opportunity to take their first taste of driving a tractor!

A contemporary exhibition of artists from the Casa de Velázquez

brings together from this Friday and until May 20 the works of artists in residence at the Casa de Velázquez, a French school abroad which promotes cooperation and cultural exchanges.

The creative studio Onyo offers immersive creations on the island of Nantes from Saturday until May 7.

A garage sale in the Graslin district

Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., more than 170 stands will set up in the heart of the Graslin district, for their traditional garage sales.

Objects, books, toys, clothes, it's an opportunity to find good second-hand deals.

The sales will take place in the streets Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Crébillon, Santeuil, Suffren and Gréty.

The reopening of La Cantine du Voyage

Since Thursday April 13, La Cantine du Voyage, imagined in 2013 by the metropolitan tourist organization Le Voyage in Nantes, has reopened its doors.

For its major Spring-Summer 2023 exhibition, entitled

Hyper sensible

, the Musée d'arts de Nantes explores the deeply human and sensitive character of hyperrealist sculpture, born in the United States in the 1960s in a context of transformation and social crisis. and politics.

With around thirty works by more than ten international sculptors, some of which have never been seen before, the museum puts hyperrealist sculpture, which until now has been very little exhibited, center stage.
