Hundreds of demonstrators against the legal revolution gathered this evening (Friday) in front of the police station in Gilolit, as a protest against the arrest of their friend Ran Orenstein earlier today in Herzliya, after he was attacked, according to them, by a supporter of the legal revolution.

At a demonstration that took place in the afternoon in front of the house of the controlling owner of Channel 14, billionaire Yitzhak Mirilshvili, Ran Orenstein was arrested after being attacked, according to the demonstrators, by a supporter of the revolution.

While the person who attacked him was released from custody, Orenstein is still in the police station.

Later, about 30 protesters entered the station demanding to release him, and after some time, they were forcibly pushed out by the police officers on the spot.

During the evacuation from the station, one protester was arrested.

In the videos and documentaries that circulated the "Brothers in Arms" protest, police forces were recorded arresting at least one other protester.

"We see a new and alarming pattern in the conduct of the Israel Police, which is probably influenced by the words of the TikTok minister. The role of the police is to protect the demonstrators from those violent instigators and not to protect the attackers. We call on the Commissioner to intervene urgently, to order the release of the detainees and to clarify to his officers their role - to protect on the protesters," said the protest leaders.

It will be mentioned that the main demonstration against the legal revolution will also be held tomorrow on Kaplan Street in Tel Aviv, this is the 15th week in a row. Former Chief of Staff Dan Halutz, Olympic rower Vared Buskila, one of the leaders of the Haitian protest, are expected to speak during the rally Moshe Redman, attorney Neta Amr Schiff from the Mizrahi-Civil collective, and social activist David Mizrahi (former member of La Familia). The speeches will begin after 8:00 p.m., in order to allow Shabbat observers to participate in the demonstration.
