Are the queues in front of gas stations back?
Five months after the strikes in the French refineries, a new social conflict disrupts the supply at the pump.
In question: the paralysis of these same refineries by the CGT-Chemistry to oppose the pension reform.
In recent days, the various blockages have been lifted in refineries and depots in France.
However, the situation is struggling to return to normal because it takes time to restart production.
A new day of strike also took place this Thursday in the places of production, on the eve of the decision of the Constitutional Council.

6.6% of service stations in the country did not have, this Thursday at 1 p.m., either gasoline (SP98, SP95, E10) or diesel.
In total, 22 departments list at least 10% of stations in total or partial rupture.
Like last October, the difficulties vary greatly depending on your department.
For several days, the Paris region has remained the most affected area with 22% of stations declaring at least one rupture.
In the capital, this rate exceeds 34%.
Same thing in Val-de-Marne, where 31.3% of pump attendants are "
in difficulty
".
A figure that reaches 23.1% in the Hauts-de-Seine.
Outside Île-de-France, Indre is also strongly affected with 28.6% of stations with little or no supply, like the neighboring department of Indre-et-Loire (25.3%).

Loire-Atlantique, the territory most affected at the start of the crisis, currently has 9.3% of its stations “
in difficulty
”.
In the Bouches-du-Rhône, there are still 4.8% of broken pumps.
Both the southwest and the northeast quarter appear relatively spared.
Regarding Île-de-France, the strike at the TotalEnergies refinery in Gonfreville-l'Orcher (Seine-Maritime) was suspended on Tuesday.
At the national level, the strike was also interrupted last week at the TotalEnergies refinery in Donges (Loire-Atlantique).
The blockages of the biorefinery of La Mède (Bouches-du-Rhône) and the oil terminals of the port of Marseille-Fos had also been lifted.

As a reminder: at the height of the mobilization, and before the first requisitions ordered by the government, no fuel left any of the six refineries to service stations in the country.
The SP98 returns above two euros
On the price side, the refinery blocking movement caused a slight jump.
Gasoline has risen by pennies over the past three weeks, with a liter of SP98 now stabilizing above two euros.
It is however ten cents more than at the beginning of the year, under the effect of the end of the rebates granted by the government and by TotalEnergies.
Diesel fuel cost an average of €1.83 per liter on Friday.
Faced with this increase, TotalEnergies “ temporarily
” extended
its price cap measure from last Friday to 1.99 euros per liter for all fuels (SP95, SP98, diesel, Excellium).
Methodology:
For the national or regional figures, we used the public data available on prix-carburants.gouv.fr (annual files), which centralizes the declarative data of service stations.
Only service stations in mainland France that sell more than 500m3 of petroleum products per year are taken into account, excluding E85 and LPG, which are much less used.
We considered that a station usually distributes a fuel if it declares at least one shortage or a price variation in 2023 for this fuel.
Like the Ministry of Energy Transition, we have considered that a place of supply is not out of gasoline if it is still powered by at least one of the three types of this fuel: SP98, SP95 and E10.
A station is considered "
in difficulty
" if:
It is in total rupture at 1 p.m. on all of its fuels distributed (gasoline or diesel).
It is partially out of service at 1 p.m. – either of gasoline or of diesel – when it usually distributes both.
