Seconds after the INDEC confirmed this Friday the worst of the forecasts with an increase in inflation of 7.7% compared to February, the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriel Cerruti, gave the Government's vision and linked the escalation of prices with "the impact of the war" in Ukraine.
With the official data published this Friday by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec), the interannual variation reached 104.3%, the highest in more than 30 years.
"The number we see today represents the worst moment of the impact of the war on international prices and the worst drought in the country's history," Alberto Fernández's spokesperson began the message on Twitter.
The data from the Consumer Price Index (CPI) ended up confirming the impact of pocket prices last month, which once again had food as one of the items with the highest average incidence.
In the first quarter of the year there was a variation of 21.7%, and in March the division with the highest increase was Education with 29.1%, due to increases in all educational levels at the beginning of the school year, according to reports from the organism.
"We know, it hurts us, it occupies us, how it affects daily life and each family," said the spokeswoman after knowing the data.
The data of the inflationary escalation triggered the criticism of the opposition to the economic policy of the Government and of Minister Sergio Massa.
However, Cerruti stressed that the National Executive is "redoubling their efforts, convinced that the path is to sustain the growth and order that we are achieving."
"And we know that most of the analyzes show us that this was the worst moment and that a downward trend began that we hope to see reflected soon," the spokeswoman said confidently.
