In Milan, a
5-year-old boy
who was learning to ride a bike without training wheels hit an
elderly woman
who, falling, hit her head and died.
Now the boy 's father is being investigated for
manslaughter
.
The tragedy would have occurred last March and the parent was reported as the guarantee with respect to damage caused by a minor lies with the parent or guardian "unless he proves he was unable to prevent the event" .
In this case, since it was a minor under 14 years of age, therefore not attributable, the proceeding was ascribed to the father.
The woman, an 87-year-old, was walking with a friend of hers and the child on a bike had ended up against her.
