Great feelings at “Goodbye Germany”: Susann has found her prince charming in Nigerian Ugo – her friends, however, are rather skeptical.

Ingolstadt – Susann Griessbach (58) has already had two failed marriages, now the perfumery saleswoman dares to walk down the aisle a third time at “Goodbye Germany”.

Because her chosen one Ugo (38) is a Nigerian who is 20 years her junior, the 58-year-old is quickly confronted with prejudice – and that in her own environment!

"Goodbye Germany" emigrant newly in love - but friends have doubts

Susann Griessbach has a soft spot for fairy tales, more precisely for the "Frog King", as the decoration in the apartment of the "Goodbye Germany" participant clearly shows.

For the 58-year-old, the story of the Brothers Grimm has apparently become reality.

She has "always felt such a longing", says the Ingolstadt native, "because there is this thought somewhere: You kiss a frog and suddenly you have a prince." In her case, this prince is called Ugo Ogba and comes from Nigeria, where he once was was pursuing a football career which he had to give up due to a knee injury.

The two met on the Internet and got married just a few weeks later – because they are soulmates, according to the “Goodbye Germany” couple.

At home in Germany, however, her love for the much younger African met with skepticism: "Are you 100 percent sure?" one of Susann's friends asked in advance, while another openly shared her fears and suspected Ugo of being a "marriage swindler" - at least they did such stories have already happened on the Vox show itself.

Thanks to “Goodbye Germany” to the celebrity – it worked for these stars!

On August 15, 2006, the first "Goodbye Germany" episode flickered across television screens, and since then Vox has produced over a dozen seasons of the docu-soap.

Over the years, many emigrants have achieved considerable fame thanks to the show, including Konny (67) and Manuela Reimann (54), Daniela Katzenberger (36), Chris Töpperwien (48), Jens Büchner († 49) or Caro (44) and Andreas Robens (56).

Love or fake at "Goodbye Germany"?

Emigrant confident: "Nothing can separate us"

But such doubts are foreign to Susann Griessbach: she is head over heels in love – not only with Ugo, but also with his home country.

"I've never felt so at home in a country as in Nigeria," reveals the newly married emigrant, who even thinks it's possible to have "African blood" in her.

However, it is not clear at the end of the "Goodbye Germany" episode whether she will permanently move to West Africa.

First, Ugo should visit her in Germany.

There the 38-year-old gets the chance to prove to Susann's environment how serious he is about her.

Vox will continue to accompany the couple, as promised at the end of the episode.

The 58-year-old was already sure: "Nothing can separate us anymore!" The situation is similar with another emigrant - but for completely different reasons: Although he cheated her out of 20,000 euros, a "Goodbye Germany" star returned returns to Africa to her ex.
