The Forstern fire brigade starts the maypole season and at the same time celebrates its 150th anniversary.

Until May 1st there will be daily Stüberl operation.

Forstern

– Needle branches and ribbons in white and red adorned the place when the Forstern maypole was brought to the parlor at the fire station on Thursday evening.

Accompanied by brass band music and numerous clubs, the procession set off at the southern entrance to the town, and the tree was welcomed to its temporary home with a salute from the firecrackers.

In the marquee, which also houses the Maibaumstüberl in the form of an Urweisse Hütten, the day of the neighborhood, clubs and companies was then celebrated.

Hannes Schwinghammer, chairman of the Forstern fire brigade, welcomed the guests.

Patron and mayor Rainer Streu was happy after tapping that so many Forsterners had come: "It shows what makes a village community."

The fire brigade paid Streu respect and wished her "all the best and that the tent is full every day and the barrels will never be empty" for the coming days up to May 1st.

As reported, the fire brigade is celebrating its 150th founding party as part of the Maibaumstüberl.

This Saturday is the day of the Forstern seniors and cabaret with Sara Brandhuber at 7 p.m. (tickets at the box office).

The big feast day with a service is planned on Sunday and a kettle meat meal on Monday.

Then the Maibaumstüberl starts with a mix of parties and live music.

Highlights of the program are the children's afternoon on April 22nd and the South Tyrolean evening on April 23rd.

Stüberl operation is every day.

The maypole will be erected on May 1st from 11 a.m. in the town center.
