David Amsalem in a threatening message to Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai (Knesset Channel)
Justice Ministry Minister Dodi Amsalem said this evening (Saturday) while meeting the press on Channel 12 that "Aharon Barak and the President of the Supreme Court should be prosecuted for an attempted coup".
He also said that "the reform will be carried out, and we will set up a commission of inquiry to examine these events, even if it takes time."
His words join his statements last month towards Police Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, according to which "people will investigate with a warning" regarding the protests against the legal revolution, and that he "suggests that he not be one of them".
During his speech at the Knesset plenum, Amsalem said that he "expects that the Israel Police, first and foremost, will maintain public order and stop the coup. I will tell you something Kobi Shabtai, do not be afraid of them because they threaten you."

"One day, not far away, we will establish a state commission of inquiry into everything that has happened in recent times," continued Amsalem.
"You will see how many more people will be investigated with a warning here and more will be prosecuted just for the last two months. I suggest you, don't be one of them. You are responsible, it is on your shift. All the rascals here are encouraging you. Your police want to evict them but they are afraid."
A month earlier, in another speech in the plenum, Amsalem addressed the protests and came out against the former Chief of Staff Dan Halutz. "Look at the anarchy you made today, you bunch of thugs, inciting rebellion," said Amsalem, "We work in your houses, clean your decency.
At the demonstration at night I saw shiny things, in the end I realized that they were Rolex watches, look how many Mercedes there are out here."
